Since the launch of Stop Your Addiction Now we’ve seen our fair share of people who do not believe in any form of holistic drug rehab. Those who don’t believe are convinced that the only approach to the treatment of hard core narcotics is other drugs, or drug substitutes.
Myself, I know first hand that recovery from addiction can be done without any form of chemical intervention. There are a combination of variables that must line up for complete recovery but the majority of those variables are mental, emotional and spiritual. Yes, the body must recover physically as well but it this can be accomplished through diet and nutrition. Most of the damage done to the body, by the addict, stems from lack of proper nutrition during the time spent in addiction.
Obviously the chemicals have a damaging effect on the body as well. The combination of poor nutrition and chemical damage put the body on a path the leads to death. Removing oneself from this path and onto a path that leads to life requires more then just dietary changes. It takes a personal willingness to take a close, personal evaluation of where you are and what you need to deal with in order to move in the right direction.
Most of today’s treatment programs for addiction mainly focus on destructive behavior and distorted thinking. Less attention is given to the accurate causes of anxiety and depression which drives the individual to have negative behaviors and thoughts. It’s the thoughts that lead to physical feelings and emotions. Once a person learns now to evaluate and manage this aspect of the human condition, this is where the road to complete recovery and restoration truly begins.
It’s natural for humans to think, sense, feel, and do. If you want to recover from addiction, you must want it yourself and with the aid of the holistic drug rehab approach to recovery, addiction and recovery can be addressed properly.
The holistic drug rehab approach to recovery teaches those who are dealing with drug and alcohol addiction to consistently and effectively ease the physical sensations through mental exercise and proper nutrition. People learn how to recognize the senses, identify specific thoughts and how those thoughts make them feel physically. Those who are recovering will, in turn, have the power to cope with and manage anxiety and depression that lead them to addiction in the first place.
